Thanks to all the guests who have enjoyed Williamsburg Charter Sails for their kind reviews on Trip Advisor. As a result, the charter just won the Certificate of Excellence after rising to No. 7 on the list of 71 things to do in Williamsburg. Who knew there were 71 things to do in Williamsburg?

My favorite review came from Ramona Findley of the LAPD, who brought her husband and another law enforcement couple sailing. Ramona has crewed on the grueling 125-mile Newport to Ensenada sail race and had an easier time of it on the York River.

“Being from Southern California and having extensive experience with sailing, I grow weary of your typical cattle call type of cruising at Harbors and the oceans whilst we travel about. However, we always look to be on water. Having found ‘Let’s go Sail’ we thought we would give it a go, because being on the water is always a good day, regardless. What a pleasure it was to meet Bill from first contact, and the location was easy to find and meet up with him. There were only four of us on the boat, as I believe he can only take a maximum of six people. And what a beautiful, immaculate, 32-foot Hunter! Wow, was I ever excited to see this boat! Beautifully kept up, and top notch sail vessel. We had a memorable three-hour sail, with all of us having the opportunity to actually work on the boat. Not that it is necessary, for he is a professional and can easily handle the boat himself if you just want to sit back and enjoy. I prefer to assist, and had the best day ever on the York River sailing, and listening to historical stories of Yorktown told by Captain Bill. He is a very interesting and engaging individual, and we found him to be a pleasure to be with for the three hours.”
