Angela Goodhart brought two of her children from Northern Virginia to Williamsburg to show her daughter the College of William & Mary as a potential applicant.

Angela is a W&M alumna from the 1980s who majored in business. She was impressed by the size and scope of the Mason School and the School of Education, both of which were built after she graduated. As part of the college tour, they made their way to the York River to go sailing for the afternoon.

“I take not just the routine head shots of seniors, but the activities and other settings of their lives.” As for weddings, “They can take up to 14 hours on the big day, from the time the bride arrives and starts to dress, and all the way through the bitter end when everyone has left the reception. I now use a second shooter. We each take around 2,000 photos, and I deliver 1,000. They’re organized by topic and in sequence of the day to make it truly memorable.”

Angela home-schooled her children through elementary grades and doubled as the photography instructor for her local home-school co-op of moms who specialize in certain subjects. Check out her studio website at goodhartphotography.com.

Let’s Go Sail has hosted many William & Mary alumni and officials over the years. Then-President Tim Sullivan referred to the business as “an intriguing enterprise.” Years later I took out the husband of President Katherine Rowe, Bruce Bagit, along with his family. She couldn’t make it because she had to host Parents Weekend on campus.
