Sailing the World

Andrea Lockwood and Yves Menard of Ottawa, Ontario, sailed the York River on a bright sunny day to sharpen up her skills at handling wind gusts. They were intrigued by the Battle of Yorktown and the contribution of the French to the victory, and they enjoyed the nuances of history presented by Revolutionary City in Colonial Williamsburg. They recently toured Indonesia and are looking to take the Trans-Siberian Rail through China and Russia. They departed to go kayaking off the Maryland coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in November no less. Their son Jeremy is no slouch in the Adventure Department, having worked and traveled New Zealand, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. He is 23.
